Women’s Only Concealed Carry Fundamentals

Course Description: Being mentally, physically and technically prepared to carry concealed requires more than just the minimal licensing requirement and a few trips to the range to shoot paper. In this one day class we will work through technical skills such as the draw, lethal target zones, malfunctions, reloads from concealment and shooting on the move with the gun you carry to save your life. We will train in our ever day carry outfits and address concerns and carry problems unique to women. There will be a heavy emphasis bridging the gap between square range practices and training for the real world in scenario based skill builders as we introduce strategic thinking and problem solving to your concealed carry lifestyle. About the Instructor: Tatiana Whitlock is a firearms instructor, hunter, fisher-woman and outdoors enthusiast residing in the majestic state of Maine. She works with men, women and youth to establish a real-world foundation of firearm skills, safety and situational awareness. A lifelong interest in martial arts resulted in the inevitable introduction to firearms as a means of self and home protection. She is a dedicated student as well as an instructor and travels to peruse training across the country with top names in the industry. As a mother of two, Tatiana takes the safety of her family seriously and knows that in a worst-case scenario the first responder on the scene is, herself. The training that she offers to families and individuals brings the home defense and concealed carriers training mindset out of the square range and into the context of daily life. Tatiana is a NRA BPI, RSO and Refuse to Be a Victim instructor. She is a contributing author for numerous industry publications and the NRA Women’s Network.
Required Gear: Eye and ear protection, casual every day carry outfit (high collared shirts please), range appropriate foot wear. Center fire carry gun of choice, three magazines, IWB/OWB holster of choice (see exceptions below). Any and all auxiliary gear, or EDC kit, you presently incorporate into your every day carry routine.
Gear Restrictions: For the purposes of maintaining a safe training environment no Flashbang or other bra holster, cross draw shoulder holsters, ankle or back carry holsters are allowed. We will not be teaching off body carry as no one wants to shoot through their pocketbooks in class. Serpa holsters are strictly prohibited. If you have these holsters please bring them in addition to your gear for class we will review safe practice techniques and discuss any concerns or considerations for daily use.
